Living Grief, Recognizing Hope: A Nature-Based Horticultural Therapy Intervention for Reproductive Trauma and Perinatal Loss

‍ ‍ A Reflective Self-Study and Proposed Future Feasibility Pilot created by Tracey Wilson, MACP, ADMH cert., BSc

About the Material Selection:

Materials were intentionally varied to provide opportunities for choice, sensory engagement, experimentation, and personal meaning-making. No specific meaning was assigned to individual materials. Instead, participants were invited to select, reject, combine, alter, or reposition materials according to what felt meaningful to them.

The process highlighted that meaning could emerge not only through the finished creation, but through the choices made along the way; including what was noticed, what was avoided, what was changed, and what participants chose to keep.
