Hi, I’m tRACEY wILSON

My path into psychotherapy began with a deep love for nature and the belief that our environments shape our well-being. Before becoming a therapist, I founded Field Thistles, a small creative landscape design company rooted in the idea that gardens could be places of healing, reflection, and personal expression. Through that work, I witnessed how people’s stories and emotions were often tied to their spaces, and I began to see that creating beautiful gardens—while meaningful—was not always enough.

This realization sparked my journey into psychotherapy. I recognized that just as gardens require tending, so too do our inner lives. I became passionate about helping people explore their emotional landscapes, navigate transitions, and find resilience and peace within themselves.

Today, I bring together my background in therapeutic horticulture, creativity, and nature-based approaches with evidence-based psychotherapy. My goal is to create a safe, inclusive, and supportive space where clients can feel grounded, explore their stories, and grow in ways that feel authentic to them. At the heart of my practice is a simple belief: healing flourishes when we reconnect with ourselves, with others, and with the natural world around us.

My Approach

I use a strength-based, positive psychology approach grounded in mindfulness, while drawing from CBT, emotionally focused, and family systems therapies. I also integrate creative and nature-based practices such as horticulture, art, and sand-play, guided by the belief that even in the darkest forest, we can create a new path forward.

CREATE it

If we can imagine change, we can create it—the path may be hard at first, but it gets easier with each step.

GROW it

Every seed has the potential to grow. With care, attention, and nourishment, even the smallest beginning can flourish into something remarkable.
